When a couple plans a winter wedding, there are usually many fingers crossed for snow. Well, we were lucky enough to have a few flakes the day of Macy and Nick’s beautiful January wedding! Although the daylight had faded by the time their ceremony ended, Macy and Nick wanted a few images outside. Even though it was literally FREEZING cold, dark, and snowing, I was more than game! I was even more thrilled when I found out that a tractor would be involved–how fun!

I am so excited to post a few images of Valerie and Billy’s wedding, just in time for Christmas! Of all the weddings that I photographed in 2009, I was generally very fortunate to have beautiful weather. That is, until the day of Valerie and Billy’s Hocking Hills wedding. It started raining hard that morning, and as much as I tried to wish it away, the rain just kept coming all day. In spite of the rain, Valerie and Billy had a beautiful ceremony, and we even managed to get a few fun rainy photos!
Also, on a side note… I am still here! I’ve been working, working, working, but have neglected my poor blog. That’s about to change. Look out for some new blog posts from recent sessions and weddings, and even some photos of my adorable baby, who is now almost five months old amazingly enough!
Now, on with the images.
It seems like just yesterday that I was posting Seth & Jaclyn’s fall engagement session photos, and now, I am pleased to give you a look at their incredibly beautiful Dublin, Ohio wedding! I was lucky to have the opportunity to photograph Seth and Jaclyn at some really wonderful locations (as you will see). It was super difficult to narrow down which images I wanted to post, so, there are quite a few! Congratulations to Seth and Jaclyn–hope you enjoy the photos!
I am so excited to post a few of my favorite images from Niki’s recent senior portrait session! Niki is a 2010 senior at Teays Valley, I was so happy to be the person she chose to capture her senior pictures. Niki was a natural in front of the camera, so it made my job very easy. I have been so lucky so far this summer to have had absolutely beautiful weather for each of my weddings! Abby and Derek’s Chillicothe, Ohio wedding was no exception, and as you can see from this sampling images from their wedding, the day was just lovely! Big congratulations to you, Abby & Derek!
I really love this picture, it’s so touching to see this kind of emotion behind the bride’s eyes as she walks down the aisle toward her new husband.
Abby & Derek chose the Adena Mansion in Chillicothe as a site for some of their portraits following the ceremony.
The reception was held at The Madison, which is the old post office and former Landmark Christian Academy in downtown Chillicothe, Ohio. This was my first event at the new Madison, and I am sure I will be photographing many receptions there in the future as this is a wonderful location!
I recently did a fun photo session with sisters Danielle and Simone. Not only are these little girls absolutely adorable, but they have the the warmest, most bubbly little personalities which really show through in their images. I had a great time shooting them!
I’m a little behind in posting Abby and Derek’s e-session images, since I just photographed their beautiful wedding last weekend! Nevertheless, following are a few of my favorite photos from their engagement session. I’ll be posting a preview of their wedding in a few days, so stay tuned!
I have been photographing little Addison since she was in her mommy’s belly, and I’m happy now to post a few adorable shots to mark her first birthday! It’s amazing how quickly time passes, and hard to believe that I will be photographing my own little one in a few short months!
I had a fun photo session in Chillicothe a few weeks ago with Angela, Mark, and Chris. It was a very breezy, but beautiful spring day, and the photos turned out just lovely! Angela mentioned that she and her family were moving into a new home, so she was excited to order some large wall prints, which turned out so nice!
Many of my clients are already aware of this, however, since finding out what we’re having I thought that this was a great time to make the official announcement on the blog that I am pregnant! I am 21 weeks, and we are expecting a baby boy in August. We could really not be more overjoyed!
I am feeling fantastic, and will be shooting and booking portrait sessions through mid-July.
It’s probably a little early to be posting embarrassing photos of my son on the internet (see ultrasound photo on the right), but, being the lover-of-photography that I am, I just couldn’t resist.!
