I really love taking photos of kids. In fact, I wouldn’t mind doing family and children’s photography exclusively someday. Don’t get me wrong, I also LOVE shooting weddings & seniors, and I also really miss my job in photojournalism, but there is something especially rewarding about children’s portraiture for me. I don’t even have any kids of my own yet, so I can only imagine that when I do have my first that my appreciation for this field is going to grow.
Back to the real point of this post, which is to show you some of the beautiful images from Delanie’s portrait session. It was so fun getting to know Delanie during our session, she has a sparkling personality that really glowed through in the photographs. Of course, I couldn’t choose just one to post!

Hi Crissy! I had a smile on my face the entire time I was looking at the pics in your blog — they are ALL beautiful! I went “awwwww” however at Delanie’s interactive picture with the swans. What a gorgeous portrait that I’m sure she and her family will treasure forever!
