A quick update
August 3, 2008 | Filed in: Personal

I feel as if I have really been neglecting the blog, but, I have a good excuse. I’ve just been so busy! Between photo sessions, client meetings, editing and ordering, my schedule is becoming very full and I am really loving it! I feel so fortunate to be meeting so many great new people, and I am constantly amazed at the power of word-of-mouth marketing and good old Google.

Speaking of the internet, I am working on a brand new Web site, so stay tuned for that. I like the one that I have now, but it is a bit too similar to some of the other photographer’s Web sites in my area, so I am making every effort to come up with something fresh and new to define Catapult Photography. I am so excited about this upcoming change!

Also, stay tuned for lots of photo updates this week!

I think that I am going to be adding a pet portraits section to my site soon. I have so many wonderful portraits of my own pets, and I am sure that there are plenty of people out there like me would would love to have pictures of their furry children! :) This is my Sasha bean.

Amanda’s Senior Pictures: Chillicothe, Ohio
July 27, 2008 | Filed in: Seniors

I’ve been meaning to post a couple of Amanda’s senior portraits from our session a couple of weeks ago. We shot most of the session downtown in Chillicothe, in a few of my favorite spots around the city. I really think that the urban setting fit in great with her personality and style.

As promised, lots more pictures from recent sessions coming soon!

Lots of pictures on the way!

What a weekend! I spent all day Saturday at Mike and Clista’s beautiful wedding at Deer Creek Resort & Conference Center. It was a beautiful day, and the ceremony and reception were a lot of fun. I am really excited to begin the editing process on their photos, there were so many lovely moments captured!

I am also working finishing up a senior portrait session this week, and wrapping up some adorable portraits of a 2-year-old little boy. Everyone who is waiting on pictures, they are coming very soon!

I love my Shootsac!
July 16, 2008 | Filed in: Personal

I have been wanting to order a Shootsac for some time now. Partly because they are oh-so-trendy, and partly because I have a few good photographer friends who have given me some rave reviews. I finally went ahead and ordered my bag and a pretty cover over the weekend and it arrived today!

The goods don’t end with the Shootsac, though. I received a few nice accessories for my camera via the UPS man today as well, and yesterday I got some new glasses (see photo above.) This is my first pair of glasses, and I found that with all of the editing I have been doing lately I’ve had some pretty serious eye strain. Hopefully they help!

Heidi & Lowell: Engagement Photos: German Village, Columbus, Ohio
July 12, 2008 | Filed in: Engagements

I have seen several engagement session shoots done in the German Village area of Columbus, Ohio many times on other photographer’s web sites, so I was thrilled to finally have the chance to shoot in this beautiful neighborhood myself recently. The experience almost made me wish that I was living in Columbus again… almost! :)

Next week will have me busy editing several shoots and then it’s Mike and Clista’s wedding, how fun!

I just wanted to post a few of my favorite images from Mike and Clista’s E-session that we shot a few weeks ago at Scioto Trail State Park. I am really looking forward to Mike and Clista’s upcoming wedding!

Fresh look
July 9, 2008 | Filed in: Seniors

You have probably noticed that I have changed up the style of the site and blog a few times over the past several weeks. I have just been looking for that sweet spot that best represents my work and taste, and I think that I have finally settled on a new look.

Speaking of fresh looks, I wanted to post at least one large image from Christina’s photo shoot. It’s definitely that time of year again, so contact me soon if you would like to schedule a senior portrait session for the summer or fall!

Christina’s Senior Session
July 7, 2008 | Filed in: Seniors

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Christina, and shooting her senior portraits. We shot the session in Jackson, Ohio, at her grandfather’s music store and at his home. It was a beautiful day for portraits, and just a really fun session. Check out the movie below for a sampling of her session images.

Portraits of Zach
June 29, 2008 | Filed in: Personal

My boyfriend, Zach, was kind enough to hold still for a few shots while I played with a new lens. Typically he runs when I point the camera in his direction, so I appreciated his patience. I just had to post a couple of the shots, because I thought they were so cute.
