I am so excited to post a few of my favorite images from Niki’s recent senior portrait session! Niki is a 2010 senior at Teays Valley, I was so happy to be the person she chose to capture her senior pictures. Niki was a natural in front of the camera, so it made my job very easy. As usual, I am so busy with the shooting and editing side of the business that I have neglected to post all of the wonderful session images captured over the past few months. So, for your viewing pleasure, here are a few shots of Adie’s senior session which was shot on one of the last sunny days of the fall season. This session was shot at her family home near Grove City, Ohio. The property and house were just perfect for the mood that I was trying to capture!

Many times when new clients call to inquire about senior portraits, they will ask if their son or daughter can have their car in the pictures, or their favorite family pet, or in Adam’s case, a tractor! The answer is almost invariably yes! It is my goal to create images that show all the individuality, creativity, and spirit of the senior, and including their favorite things in our session is a great way to help ensure that.

Below are a few shots from Adam’s senior session, as you can see, his 4-wheeler and tractor became a part of our shoot–what fun!

Below are a few of the images from a recent senior portrait shoot in Ross County with Tyler. I don’t think many guys in high school love having their photo taken, but Tyler was a real trooper and he did a great job following my direction. His pictures came out great, and sessions like this just remind me how much I love shooting seniors!

I want my senior portraits to be unique!

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard that in the past few months. It seems like the senior portrait clients who gravitate toward Catapult Photography are always so full of personality and spirit, which works out great for me because they are also usually very open to being creative!

It is such a neat feeling to receive calls from new clients who are so excited to book their sessions because their son or daughter found my site and requested that I be their photographer! I love my job!

Senior Portraits: Schiller Park, Columbus, Ohio

I took Misst’s senior portraits recently in Columbus, Ohio. We shot the photos in the German Village area, and in the beautiful Schiller Park. Misst has such a warm personality that taking her portraits was a breeze, and fun, too! Below are a few photos from our recent session:

On Sunday I photographed Lacie & Keith’s beautiful wedding, and have been working feverishly to edit several wedding and portrait shoots over the past few days. Expect many more photos soon!

I’ve been meaning to post a couple of Amanda’s senior portraits from our session a couple of weeks ago. We shot most of the session downtown in Chillicothe, in a few of my favorite spots around the city. I really think that the urban setting fit in great with her personality and style.

Fresh look

You have probably noticed that I have changed up the style of the site and blog a few times over the past several weeks. I have just been looking for that sweet spot that best represents my work and taste, and I think that I have finally settled on a new look.

Speaking of fresh looks, I wanted to post at least one large image from Christina’s photo shoot. It’s definitely that time of year again, so contact me soon if you would like to schedule a senior portrait session for the summer or fall!

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Christina, and shooting her senior portraits. We shot the session in Jackson, Ohio, at her grandfather’s music store and at his home.
